The gift of photographing in places where so many people go is the challenge of coming away from the experience with images not seen before, by myself or anyone else. Large scenics often escape my interest in favor of the intimacy of smaller details where I can concentrate on making compositions that move me. I wander until the eye hears the land whispering, "pssst! Over here. Look! See!"
