First impressions can be impressive. I made my first trip to the Badlands in June, 2015, about 3 weeks before getting a heart valve replaced. May I say it was a heart stopper! I stayed two nights on the way to my nephew's wedding and another on the way home to Moab. It was a fun interlude to 1500 miles of driving.
