Death. Valley. It's good to be alive in this place. What attracts us here? I usually visit in winter and am surrounded by busloads of international travelers on the dunes and at Badwater. The seemingly barren landscape is abundant in color tonalities, patterns of light and shadow and exquisite textures. There is much to explore in the vast expanse of Nevada.
