Entrada is a collaboration with my poet friend David Lee. David's collection of 14 poems entitled Entrada served as the beginning of this project. He gave it to me to find images and a way of presenting both. The images were made new or found in my files. For months I dwelled on how best to integrate both art forms and finally arrived at the present display; digitized B&W negs layered on a duotone gradient background with text. David was Utah's first poet laureate and runner-up to Billy Collins to be poet laureate of the United States. He is a true man of letters, a friend, and for 30 years we shared an enthusiasm for the land and people of southern Utah. We still do. Presented are the exhibit versions of the poems/images.
