They say it's about 30 acres in size. If so, it's likely the most concentrated area of sandstone swirls and color that has ever been created. This is a place where every step stirs my soul like no other. Alas, it is also being found out. Daytrippers arrive from all over the world to wander the delicate stone. If you visit please add your voice to those of us who'd like to keep the place preserved, as is, hopefully without a permit system for entry.
My photographs tend toward the abstract in this area. I submit to the swarming of lines and colors. It is the pattern of wind in the rock, or child stirring their neopolitan ice cream in utter delight. There can be no titles here. Read into them what you can, what you must. Spread your arms and lift off. Get carried away!
