Fisher Towers area
On June 22, 2026, Moab had the second worst air in the nation, due to several large forest fires 200 miles to the west. In late afternoon I drove up the Colorado River and photographed the buttes and monuments in the area. It was hazy, smokey and completely primordial, which is the feeling I composed and resolved the image for.
